Scarlets drop two at Cle Elum
CLE ELUM — Nate Howe went 2-for-3 with a triple in the second
game to lift the Cle Elum Lumberjacks to a 6-4 victory and
non-league sweep Sunday.
Blake Dasso threw a three-hitter, striking out six in five
innings, in the first game for Yakima (0-2), but Cle Elum
won 6-1. Mychael Lopez led the Scarlets, batting 5-for-6 with
an RBI and two runs scored on the day. Max Kovatch and Josh
Davison also had strong days at the plate.
Scarlets fall to Zillah
Jared Olivas hit a three-run home run to help Zillah beat
the Yakima Scarlets 10-6 on Friday at Zillah. Andrew Burns
pitched seven innings and struck out six for Zillah, and Austin
Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
